NEW VIDEO PREMIERES...

The Strypes released the video to their latest single "Hometown Girls" earlier this week. Have a listen and a watch here...

There is just something so endearing about these boys, and the fact that they're very young isn't stopping them one bit. They are fantastic musicians (and I think this video really shows that) and they are just all round cool guys. Love this song as well - they write about what they know, make it sound fun/great and deliver it seamlessly. THIS is what "young talent" should be classified as, not some prepubescent child repeating the same words over an auto-tuned and overproduced track (here's looking at you Justin Bieber).

Next up, a slightly older band - Mallory Knox have just released the new video for their latest single "Hello". Check it out....

Now, I have to admit, I was a little bit disappointed with this video. This song has an excellent plot line that could've made for a really good video if done right. However, they didn't use it at all! The lyrics basically state that they're looking for a girl, nobody can find her, no one knows why she hasn't been seen and they've basically exhausted all methods of finding her. In the video however, there seem to be many girls, none of which are looking for this other girl and none of which seem to be this lost girl. The band and these girls are just running around an abandoned mansion, looking for nothing in particular, lighting flares and playing their instruments... Aesthetically this video isn't bad, but all round, it's not great. Despite all this, I love the song, I love the album and I love the band.
